The amount of medical knowledge we now have available to us has grown tremendously due to rapid advances in the field of medicine in recent years. In light of this development, it is clear that traditional educational methodology, which emphasized the conveyance of knowledge, is now inadequate, and a new means is now required. In the midst of this situation, it is critical to re-consider what the field of medicine is, the process of its advancement, its present condition and what form it should take in the future, and to show medical students how interesting and important studying the field of medicine is.
In the midst of the current situation where society is bombarded with sophisticated medical information, we at the Medical Course are working to turn out students who never lose their curiosity toward their studies, and who endeavor to "discover the truth" through the field of medicine. It is also our hope that all of our students will train their bodies and minds and build deep bonds of friendship during their time here, making their university years full of memories that last a lifetime. To help ensure that this happens, we have also created an environment conducive to extracurricular activities, enabling interaction between staff and students, which we believe to be of primary importance. |
