| A Message from the Director, Nursing Course |

Present circumstances require that personnel working in the field of nursing services possess a heightened sense of humanity as well as specialized knowledge in order to respond to current social conditions. In addition to this, we also need further research on improving the quality of nursing services.
Nursing Course places emphasis on the social responsibility and role of the nursing field specialist, the social conditions that define performance in the field, and the ethics associated with this type of work, teaching highly practical, highly applicable subjects. We also consider it essential to provide basic practical nursing skills, guaranteeing the quality level of the skills and education imparted, as well as implementing consistent improvement, and providing a solid base that students can continue to deepen for the rest of their lives. Our faculty was launched as the Nursing Course, Medical School, Kochi University, as of April 1998, and our fourth graduation ceremony took place in March 2005.
Further, our Master Program endeavors to produce educators, researchers, and highly advanced practitioners and leader figures through steady, consistent learning. Our second class of Master Program graduates graduated in March 2005, and they are now engaged in work in various fields.
We very much welcome any and all students who have a deep love for humanity and the environment, and those who have inherent compassion for others. |
