The reseacrh interests of the Department span many facets of cell and molecular biology. The Department has placed particular emphasis on exploring gastrointestinal and cardiac myocyte pathobiology, understanding cellular and molecular organization of inner ear, and studying mechanisms of function of polymorphonuclear leukocytes.
